    CLARENCE HAROLD (Anderzon): Born March 13, 1898. Made slight change in last name the better to identify himself in the ministry. Was raised on farm in Nebr., where he finished grade school. Next, he attended Gustavus Adolphus Academy, St. Peter, Minn., Central High in Minneapolis, and graduated from Minnesota College, in Minneapolis in 1916. Entered Augustana College, next fall, enlisted and served with 33rd Div., in WWI in early 1917, participating in St. Mehiel and Argonne offensives as artillery sergeant. Resumed studies at Aug. College, graduating (B. A.), then entering Aug. Seminary, graduating (B. D.) in 1925. Married Rosa Erickson of Erie, Pa., a student at Aug. College, a girl with much talent and a radiant personality. Accepted call to DuBois, Pa., then moved to Tabor Lutheran Church of Rockford, Ill., where he still serves. After 20 years he has raised the membership from a tiny mission to over 800 souls. As a reserve officer in the army, he was called back in WW2, where he served as chaplain until his wife

    THERESA BERNADINE: Born Dec. 23, 1899 and grew up on farm near Touhy, Nebr., where she went to school. After graduating from high school she engaged in teaching for several years, later serving as nurse in a Denver hospital following WWI. She married George Ellenberger, a patient who had been disabled in the war. After he recovered a degree of health, they worked hard at farming and dairying, later raising sheep. At present, they are in semi-retirement and living in the environs of Denver; however, Therese is following some work at St. Anthony

    THE TRUED FAMILY IN THE U.S.A.

    CLIFFORD RAYMOND: Born April 17, 1905. Acquired early schooling in Nebraska, but remained with parents on the farm and fought it out with the horses, cows, plows, tractors and cultivators until he came of age. He approached his father in physical dimensions, brawn and muscular skill and could easily have become a heavy-weight boxer had he continued training in this field. He worked sporadically in Lincoln, Denver and Omaha, then married Sylvia Docekal of Wahoo, Nebr., who is of Bohemian extraction. She has proved an excellent wife and home manager. They are members of the Lutheran church. Cliff works in a factory in Rockford, Ill.

    VIOLET RUTH: Born July 13, 1907. In addition to high school she took extensive training in voice at Lutheran College, and privately with Mildred Kiffin, renowned American contralto. Her voice has exceptionally fine timbre and her singing shows i import and sincerity, probably inherited from her great grandmother Elsie. Has appeared in numerous recitals and has been soloist in many churches, participating in many of the great oratorios such as the Messiah, and the B minor Mass. She lives with her folks in Rockford, Ill., and belongs to her brother
