    Johnson, Alvena "Millie"

    Alvena "Millie" Johnson, 89, Wahoo, widow of Norris J., died Friday, December 4, 2009 in Wahoo. She was born 4/15/1920 in Wahoo, to Alvin R. and Alvera A. (Brostrom) Walin. Millie worked at Mead Bank, Ceresco Bank, and at Federated Finance in LiLincoln after graduating from Luther Academy in Wahoo and attending Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS for one semester. On 2/27/1946, she married Norris J. Johnson at Swedeburg, Neb.. Millie was bookkeeper at Wahoo Clinic for 15 years, assisted in the Luther College Alumni Office and was organist at both Grace Lutheran and Immanuel Lutheran Churches for many years.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-father, Arthur E. Larson; bothers, Archie and Glenn Larson. She is survived by sons, Harvey D. (Trish) Johnson, Seward, Kerry L. Johnson, Lincoln; brother, Rev. Lester Larson, Sequin, Texas; sister-in-law, Helen E. Johnson, Ceresco; granddaughters, Kathryn Johnson, Seattle, Wash., Ann Johnson, St. Paul, Minn.

    Funeral Monday, December 14, 11 a.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wahoo. Visitation Sunday, December 13, 6-8 p.m., funeral home. Interment Swedeburg Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials to the church or Saunders Medical Center Auxiliary. Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home, Wahoo, (402) 443-3128
