    OBITUARY

Mrs. Edna Ellizabeth Anderson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Walin, was born January 21, 1888 on a farm four miles northwest of Ceresco. She received her summons to enter into her eternal rest at 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, 1955 in the Community Hospital in Wahoo, at the age of 67 years 4 months and 15 days. She was baptised by Pastor F. N. Swanberg and confirmed in Grace Lutheran church, Swedeburg, April 19, 1903 by Pastor John Torell.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Theodore Anderson, February 13, 1913, who together with the following children, mourn her sudden departure from this life; one son, Milton of Rock Island, Ill.; two daughters, Betty Larson of Wahoo and Margaret Palm of Cersco; seven grandchildren. A daughter, Mildred, passed away in 1929 at the age of thirteenthru.
She also leaves to mourn her demise, her aged mother, Mrs. Anna Walin and one brother, Edward of Ceresco, also four sisters, Esther Nelson and Norma Heiser of Davey; Pauline Widman of Mead and Althea Heiser of Exeter, besides many other relatives and a large circle of friends.

She has suffered from reoccurring attacks of bronchial asthma and has been in frail health and under the care of doctors for the past twenty-five years. Yet, out of her long illness, has come a blessing instead of a breakdown. In the crucible of physical affliction, precious gold of a sanctified personality was refined and of her it could truly be said as Shakespeare once wrote: "In illness not let me so much say, am I getting better of my pain? as, am I getting better for it?" Her swweet, winning personality, characterized by humility, with no thought of reward or recognition; her patience in all life's experiences; her faithfulness and devoted giving of self for loved ones; her emphasis upon the "one things needful" the joy she manifested when it was possible for her to worship in the House of God; and above all, her simple childlike and unswerving faith in her Saviour. "the same yesterday, now and forever" is a glorious heritage that she bequeaths to her loved ones and to her Church, exemplifying the eternal truth of "That to them that love God all things work together for good." Peace be unto her memory!

Ther funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 1955, with the pastor, Rev. Nels E. Olson, officiating.

Mrs. Norris Johnson presided at the organ and accompanied Misses Betty and Jane Pearson and Donna Peterson who sang.
