Charles married Eileen Elsenia Ecklund about 1945 in Spokane, Spokane, WA, and was divorced. Eileen (daughter of George Albert Ecklund and Emma Pauline Lindell) was born on 26 Sep 1924 in Valparaiso, Saunders, NE; died on 16 Apr 1986; was buried in Apr 1986 in Mt. Olivet Cem., Carroll, Carroll, IA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

George attended Cox public school, district No. 99, Twp. 14, Saunders County, NE. He also attended Luther Academy after finishing his 8th grade exams. On his WWI card in September 1918 he was single working for Oscar Palm on a farm in Nielsville, Polk, MN. His father was next of kin at that time. It also said he had lost part of his first finger on his right hand.

George married Emma Pauline Lindell on 5 Dec 1923 in Swedeburg, Saunders, NE. Emma (daughter of Peter Lindell and Elsa Munson) was born on 11 May 1899 in Ceresco, Saunders, NE; was christened on 15 Jul 1899 in Swedeburg, Saunders, NE; died on 6 Aug 1989 in Wahoo, Saunders, NE; was buried on 8 Aug 1989 in Sunrise Cem., Wahoo, Saunders, NE. Notes:

Emma Lindells father, Peter (1859-1939), changed his last name to Lindell while working in Lincoln NE. He got the idea from the Lindell Hotel in Lincoln. He was Per Pearson before. Emma grew up in Ceresco NE at 225 Beech Street. The home is still there (2004). Emma is the sister of Noble Lindell.
Emma's mother, Else Munson Lindell, (1854-1944) was a Monson. John Monson was his name. or Munson? Else came to America when she was 18 years old (1872?) with her sister, Mrs. John Munson. Another name in her story is Olof Munson. Olof supposedy came here, scouted the area then went back to Sweden and brought the family here.
