Mindless tedium
I don't care what anybody says, knitting is the superior craft. Crochet wears out its welcome after only a few hours. But this tried-and-true pattern results in a very practical baby blanket that has more than once become one of those "binkies" that has to go everywhere (to the parents' dismay).
I've got about four inches and the border left to finish.
