New and old

My mom decided that the socks I knit for her birthday were too big. So I'm ripping them back from the toe (hooray for socks knit leg-down and not toe-up!) and re-knitting the toe with leftover yarn from my stash (hooray for not only keeping the leftover yarn but also finding it four months later!)

I managed to do this during our stay at the cabin over the weekend. Knitting was squeezed in between two hikes, a bike ride, and some work I brought along.

Work is really crazy right now, but decidedly fun. Can you believe summer is half over? Soon school supply shopping will be on my weekly 'to do' list.
