Disturbing Discovery

Disturbing. It's one of my favorite words.

I finished the first Regia sock just now. I got out my postal scale and weighed it. It weighed 1.7 ounces. Then I weighed the yarn left over. It weighed 1.6 ounces. Will I ever learn?

Oh no! That sounds like MY luck! In order to have enough yarn for my icord straps for my booga bag, I ripped out the first few rows of my bag. Not once, not twice, but THREE times. Frustrating! lol
My next one will have the icords done first.

What a clever girl you are to weigh the yarn...I would've never thought of doing that. No, I would've knit 90% of the sock and then had to search the US for the same dye lot of more yarn. By the way, what are you going to do now?

I will make minor attempts to locate the same yarn and will not be concerned about dye lot. If the minor attempts lead nowhere, then my husband will have one sock with a slightly different color toe! And he will love me for it! This was my strategy on the Koigu socks; I found a colorway so similar that you can hardly tell - I'll post the picture later today.
